Tesla is adding automatic emergency braking to ‘Autopilot a 2.5’

Tesla have revealed a new software update that activates the automatic emergency braking feature in those cars with the latest Autopilot hardware.

The automaker describes its automatic emergency braking (AEB) system:

“Automatic Emergency Braking, a new collision Avoidance Assist feature, is designed to automatically engage the brakes to reduce the impact of an unavoidable frontal collision with another vehicle. The brakes disengage when you press hard on the accelerator pedal, release the brake pedal, or sharply turn the steering wheel.”

While Automatic Emergency Braking can’t prevent all accidents, it will often reduce the force of an impact by applying the brakes automatically if there is no way to avoid the collision.

Electric car charging stations to outnumber service stations in the UK by 2020.

A report from Nissan proposes open electric vehicles charging stations could dwarf the number of petrol stations in the UK by 2020.

Edward Jones, EV chief at Nissan UK, portrayed it as a tipping point for electric vehicles

“As electric vehicle sales take off, the charging infrastructure is keeping pace and paving the way for convenient all-electric driving. Combine that with constant improvements in our battery performance and we believe the tipping point for mass EV uptake is upon us. As with similar breakthrough technologies, the adoption of electric vehicles should follow an ‘S-curve’ of demand. A gradual uptake from early adopters accelerates to a groundswell of consumers buying electric vehicles just as they would any other powertrain.”

The study revealed that there were 8,472 conventional service stations in the UK. This figure is 75% less than the 37,539 recorded 40 years back. It is estimated that this steady decline is only going to continue with the emergence of electric cars.

There are currently 4,100 public electric vehicle charge point locations in the UK. However, this is forecasted to increase to 7,900 charge points– surpassing the number of service stations.

With most deciding on whether to take their own car and pay for airport parking or book a taxi, has one ever considered luxury airport transfers?

Luxury Airport Tranfers have always been popular among the upper social classes, however this luxury is becoming more affordable for people from all walks of life, and here we give the reasons why.
When you consider that driving to the airport yourself will set you back the cost of using your own fuel plus the cost of airport parking which ranges between £48.00 per car to a whopping £289.00 per car if you park in the premium car park, this is an extortionate amount, even at the lower end.

Then take a standard taxi fare, we called three South East based taxi firms; Vokes, ABC and Star and asked them how much a taxi would cost from Rochester, Kent to London Gatwick airport. The price averaged at around £75 each way.

Now, let’s look at Luxury Airport Transfers. There is a misconception that because the word ‘luxury’ is in the title, that people think the price is going to be extortionate, however this is not necessarily the case.

This you can only get with EVision’s luxury airport transfers.
