You may recognise the name Eastgate House as it was featured in Charles Dickens’ novels Pickwick Papers and The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
Elisabeth’s of Eastgate is a beautiful 16th century Tudor building so there is plenty of history to endure and this restaurant is full of character with restored beams and exposed brickwork.
This small family owned restaurant is renowned for its signature European style and use of seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers. There are also plenty of carefully selected wines and premium drinks to complement ones chosen dish.
